SHE THE PROJECT
We are pleased to inform that our very first edition of CONNECT was a success! It was an evening full of love, fun, support, learning, sharing and, of course, connection!
CONNECT by She has been created in an effort to connect and empower women in business through different activities, including a strategic networking exercise where women were strategically connected based on their career and/or business needs.
The first edition of this event took place in Porto Alegre, Brazil last Tuesday, Jan 28th at O Grão Real Food.
Our next one is just around the corner in Nashville at the Collective 615 in March 8th, 2020. So, save the date y’all!
AN EVENING OF THOUGHTFUL DISCUSSIONS AND CONNECTIONS
We started the evening with a discussion panel mediated by the communicator Ali Klemt who brought up the subject “Competition Vs Collaboration among women in business.” We also had psychologist Lais Dantas sharing her perspective on this topic as well as tips on different ways to tackle this problem. Event planner and digital influencer Xuxa Pires was also part of our panel along with Dell’s Project Manager Fernanda Gomes who has helped develop Women in Leadership, a company leadership program for women working in Information Technology that has recently expanded globally within the organization.
Following the discussion panel, we had the honor to recognize seven Brazilian women who have supported our platform since day one and represent our movement by being role models when it comes to strength, compassion, empathy, resilience and hard work.
Our strategic networking exercise was a great way to engage all of our guests and ensure they had the opportunity to talk to different people about one specific barrier/issue they needed help with. Our main objective was for them to leave the event having at least one great connection made and clear next steps to follow to achieve their business and/or career goals.
Our special thanks to Love Suco’s owner Juliana Anspach who helped us develop the perfect tool to guide our guests during this exercise.
We closed the evening in a happy hour style with great food and drinks, including a toast offered by Don Guerino through Vinho Justo, as well as Hand, Feet and Neck massages offered by OneSpa Canoas complimentary to all of our guests.
Last, but so not least, all of our guests took home a Swag bag full of amazing gifts by our local sponsors: GrafJet, Grano Divino, Intimissimi Porto Alegre, Laboterra, Lalov, One Spa Canoas, Paloma Quadros Couture, and Vinho Justo.
We are extremely happy with the feedback we have received so far and forever thankful for all vendors who made this event possible. A special thanks to Rodrigo and Cassiana and DC Filmes for capturing our event in such a beautiful way. And to Natália Giordano, owner of Studio Immaginare, who has helped us with all of our visual communication and social media needs.
Thank you Porto Alegre for welcoming and embracing our movement so well!
